Celebrating our successes – a round-up of 2023 to 2024

Our business year ended on 28 June. A week later we came together as a company to take a look back at the last 12 months, celebrate everything we’ve achieved and do some team (and bicycle!) building. Here’s how it went.

Pure in numbers

We started by celebrating how we’d contributed to the eastern region. In 2023 to 2024 we:

  • found jobs for almost 1,000 people
  • worked with over 700 clients
  • organised 24 events, including the Best Employers’ awards conference, the Women’s Leadership Programme and our newest addition, the People Leaders Lab
  • raised over £195,000 for local charities.

Our best bits

Next, we took a look at some of the highlights of the year.

We welcomed lots of new clients

We value each and every one of our clients, old and new. Here are just some of our newest recruits:

  • Mauvais

We hosted the Best Employers Awards Conference 2023

In October 2023, we brought together 150 leaders and professionals from across the region at a very special awards conference. Designed to recognise and reward employers going the extra mile for their people, we handed out eight awards and 38 accreditations. Head to the Best Employers’ website to find out more about the scheme.

We ran our development programmes (and added a new one)

We’re really proud of all our development programmes. Like HR Energy, which we designed to help HR professionals access new learning and networking opportunities. We held a few different sessions throughout the year, one of the most popular of which covered neurodiversity at work.

In January 2024, we ran the Women’s Leadership Programme, which helps women develop their leadership skills, take control of their careers and expand their networks.

We also ran two virtual Finance Leadership Programmes, one in October 2023 and another in April 2024. Both sessions included informative and open presentations, and Q&A sessions with senior finance professionals, and lots of advice and tips for aspiring CFOs.

In November 2023, we were proud to launch the People Leaders Lab, designed to give HR professionals a space to come together and learn about a diverse range of topics. It offers a unique opportunity to get insights from experts, network with others in HR and learn from real workplace examples.

We published our salary guide

In June 2024, we produced our salary survey and guide, which helps employers make informed and knowledgeable decisions about pay and benefits. Organisations across the east of England use it to benchmark what they’re paying their teams against industry averages for roles in their location.

It also includes expert advice and opinion on the current recruitment landscape, and details of what today’s employees and executives are really looking for when it comes to benefits.

We celebrated promotions and work anniversaries

We have over 50 professional recruitment specialists covering roles of all levels. We also employ many other outstanding support staff across marketing, finance, and learning and development, to name just a few. And because we know our people are our most important asset, we’re always delighted to celebrate and share their successes.

This year, Tom Blake became a Managing Consultant. Tom’s been in our Ipswich team since 2013, and specialises in temporary accountancy jobs across Suffolk and Essex. We also promoted Mark Colton to Business Director. Mark’s responsible for finding people for permanent senior finance roles.

We talked about our environmental, social and governance (ESG) statement

Our ESG statement is designed to help us build a business for the future. One that meets our responsibilities to society, and the environments and communities we work in, while driving positive change. It sets out our commitments to sustainability, social responsibility and ethical governance.
Our statement makes sure everyone who works with us – our employees, clients, jobseekers, suppliers and anyone else – understands our commitments in this area, and holds us accountable. It also helps us showcase our company’s values, and the way we’re putting our people’s wellbeing at the heart of everything we do.

Bringing our people together

With our achievements acknowledged and celebrated, it was time for an afternoon of team bonding. But because we’re Pure, we wanted to make sure we gave something back while we did that.

That’s why we spent the afternoon getting our hands dirty building bikes for Re-Cycle, a fantastic charity that sends good-quality recycled bicycles to rural communities in Africa. The charity will MOT the bikes we built before they head off to underprivileged students.

Could you be one of our success stories?

Even though it’s been such a great year, we aren’t going to sit back and relax. We’ll continue to be the leading recruiter in the region, matching talented people with the right organisations. If you’d like to be one of those, get in touch to find out what we can do for you.

And here’s to yet another fantastic year.
