The finalists of the 2019 Suffolk Business Awards have now been revealed, including the four finalists in the prestigious Best Employer category sponsored by Pure and Birketts.

We’re delighted to be co-sponsoring this category again. It honours the organisations which are achieving great success by putting people, values and culture at the heart of everything. As professional recruitment specialists, we see every day how important employee engagement and workplace culture is when it comes to being able to recruit and retain high-calibre employees which will help a business to grow and succeed.

As part of the judging team, we have selected four extremely worthy finalists for the Best Employer category. These are; accountancy and business advisory firm BDO LLP, construction company Morgan Sindall Construction and Infrastructure, marine construction and renewables organisation Red7Marine and marketing agency StrategiQ. 

Just some of the reasons these organisations stood out as finalists include their approach to creating inclusive cultures, their clearly communicated and embedded vision and values, the learning and development opportunities provided to support career progression and their commitment to employee wellbeing and mental health. Overall, what shone through is that all of these organisations are dedicated to doing all they can to be an employer of choice in their industry and to provide opportunities for people to enjoy stimulating and rewarding careers here in our region.

As part of the entry process for the Best Employer category, organisations were invited to submit results from their previous Best Employers Eastern Region employee survey. Best Employers Eastern Region was founded by Pure and psychometrics experts eras ltd in 2012 to support organisations in creating workplaces which are stimulating, motivating and bring out the best in their people.
