Pure takes another step forward in its continued support of local charity Stars
Pure has taken another step forward in its continued support of local charity Stars with eight team members taking part in a charity fundraising walk along the Fen Rivers Way on Sunday (5 November).
The Pure team braved the weather to take on the 12-mile walk from Waterbeach to Ely, with extra support from their four-legged friends Neo, Maisie and Hector. Between them, they have raised a further £168 to support the Cambridgeshire bereavement support services charity.
Stars provides support and counselling for any child or young person in Cambridgeshire who has or is expecting to, lose a parent or someone close to them. Its services are provided free of charge and as an independent charity, it relies on charitable donations to continue its work.
Pure has supported Stars through several different initiatives including its annual Cambridgeshire charity quiz night. Last year this event raised over £2,000 for charity. The quiz night will be taking place again this Thursday night (9th November) with the Pure team hoping to raise even more for the charity this year, with support from local businesses.
The intrepid Pure team is also already planning the next fundraising challenge in aid of Stars. This will see them tackle the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge in May 2018.
