Pure’s quiz night for Cambridgeshire accountancy students raises £135 for STARS
Pure joined forces with the East Anglian Chartered Accountants' Student Society (EACASS) to host a charity quiz night in Cambridge which raised £135.00 for local charity STARS.
The fun evening took place on Thursday 25 May at the Architect Pub in the city. It marked the end of a busy exam season for local ICAEW students and more than 30 people attended, making up 7 teams. The winning team on the night was KMPG and they were presented with champagne.
George Allen, Practice Recruitment specialist at Pure said: “We were delighted to be asked to help organise this quiz night with EACASS. Accountancy and financial services are two of our key specialisms and we’re always keen to meet and support the region’s up-and-coming talent in these areas. The quiz night was a great opportunity for local students to come together and to have some well-deserved fun while also raising money for two great causes.”
A total of £135.00 was raised through ticket sales to the event and donations on the night which will be donated directly to STARS.
STARS provides bereavement support and pre-bereavement support to children and young people who have experienced the death of an important person in their lives or who are facing losing a loved one. As an independent charity, it relies on charitable donations to continue its work with children and young people in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
