Pure’s annual charity quiz night for Essex businesses raises £1281 for two local charities
Pure Resourcing Solutions (Pure) hosted its annual Essex charity quiz last night (Wednesday 13 April), bringing local businesses and clients together for a fun evening which raised £1281 for The J’s Hospice and Kids Inspire.
With 18 teams of up to six people, including teams from Brayer Group and Lakehouse, there was plenty of friendly rivalry on the night. The overall winners were a team “Totes Amazing” from Totes and each team member was presented with a bottle of champagne.
The event, held at the Holiday Inn at Festival Leisure Park in Basildon, also included a raffle to help raise further funds. The prizes included restaurant vouchers, hamper from Tiptree Jam and afternoon tea for 2 at Orsett Hall voucher all kindly donated by local businesses.
Ben Farrow, Senior Manager of Pure’s Chelmsford Office, said: “We’ve been hosting quiz nights for many years and last night’s event proved to be as enjoyable as ever. Thank you to everyone who took part, or who contributed in some way to help us raise money for these two amazing charities which provide invaluable support to local people.”
The J’s Hospice, based in Great Baddow, Chelmsford, provides respite and hospice care services for young adults aged between 16 and 40 who are suffering with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. The second charity which will benefit is Kids Inspire, based in Chelmsford. This organisation helps to heal the wounds of trauma and to reconnect young people with both themselves and society through mentoring, therapy, training and activity packages.
Last year Pure’s Chelmsford quiz night also raised over £1,000 for the J’s Hospice. The professional recruitment consultancy’s annual quiz nights are held at all four offices in the region throughout the year. These just one of the many charity events Pure runs throughout the year and to date it has raised over £100k for 24 charities.
