Ormiston Families first local charity to benefit from Pure’s 10 year anniversary fundraising campaign

Ormiston Families is the first local charity to benefit from a 10 year anniversary campaign created by the team at the Ipswich office of Pure Resourcing Solutions (Pure).

A total of £1900 will be donated to the charity, which provides services to support children and young people in the East of England, following a special anniversary quiz held at the Novotel Hotel last night (Thursday 3 March).

Pure is celebrating a decade since the professional recruitment agency first opened its Ipswich office. To mark the occasion the team has created the #IpswichBig10 anniversary campaign and pledged to complete a series of different events to raise money for 10 local charities this year.

The fundraising began at the charity quiz night which was attended by 32 teams from local businesses including Grant Thornton, Capita Mortgage Services and Haven Power. The overall winners were a team from RSM with each winning team member being presented with a bottle of champagne. The event also included a raffle to raise further funds with prizes including a twilight spa prize for two people at the Ufford Park Hotel in Woodbridge.

Paul Sheldrake, Manager at Pure’s Ipswich office, said: “We’ve been hosting charity quiz nights for many years, but last night’s event was extra special as it was also a chance to mark our 10 year anniversary. It was a fantastic chance to celebrate with clients past and present and to enjoy some friendly rivalry in a battle of the brains. Our thanks go to everyone who attended or contributed in some way. It has given us an excellent start to our fundraising anniversary campaign designed to help the local organisations which provide invaluable support to people in need.”

Team members at Pure have signed up for two further events to continue with the next stages of the #IpswichBig10 campaign. Twenty of the team have courageously signed themselves up for the ‘Only the Brave’ event on 20 March, an extremely muddy obstacle course race which raises money for the East Anglian Air Ambulance. A team from Pure will also be entering the Ipswich Colour Dash Race in aid of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices on 29 May.
