Sharron Pomells, Head of People Operations for Virgin Management Ltd has been announced as the keynote speaker at the Best Employers Eastern Region 2016 launch to be held at Paddocks House, Newmarket on Thursday 28 January 2016.  

Sharron will be highlighting the critical elements of employee engagement strategies as well as innovative programmes run by Virgin.  Virgin are leading the way placing employees at the heart of their business by adopting key incentives such as unlimited holidays and extensive benefits to attract and retain top talent.  More guest speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.

The Best Employers Eastern Region launch features a combination of leading industry guest speakers from some of the region’s leading employers as well as an opportunity to network with companies who have taken part in previous surveys.  Taking place every two years and open from April to September, the survey is free to take part and is used by organisations such as Benefit Cosmetics, the overall Best Employer winner for 2014, to engage with they employees for effective decision-making.

Best Employers Eastern Region is developed in conjunction with eras Ltd, the leading psychometrics, and leadership development and coaching specialists, the programme identifies the Best Employers in the Eastern region - Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk.  By completing a survey that asks employees what they really think,  businesses can create positive strategies that enhance employee engagement, essential for hiring and retaining top talent.  The initiative has three steps: a survey which is used with all employees within the region; focused seminars to help support the use of the data to inform business strategy and awards which celebrate the leading organisations with the region.
