Graduation takes place for Women’s Leadership Programme 2014

Pure Resourcing Solutions (Pure), in partnership with People and Performance has held its the second  Women’s Leadership Programme in 2014 graduation on 27th November 2014. The course aims to support professional women across Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire to develop their leadership style and progress to more senior roles, in the future.

Certificates were awarded to delegates who gathered at Paddocks House, Newmarket for the afternoon. Each delegate shared how they have initiated changes and delivered this in their workplace as a result of the course and the impact the programme has had on them personally.

“The course has allowed me to hear my voice which has given me the confidence to know what I can bring to the job”

“I found the programme welcoming and supportive. It is an open and safe environment to share personal and work issues. On completing the course I feel I am moving in a positive direction; I have reviewed my work and goals, conquered public speaking and asked for a change of job title. The programme has inspired me and I recommend it to others aspiring to reach executive level.”

‘Since finishing the course I have become better at analysing and looking at things from a different angle. I have even started an initiative at work to have mentors for women as I now have a passion in women’s issues and embracing your differences.’

It was also an opportunity to hear from Bridget McIntyre, Founder of the Blossom Charity who sponsored a place for a delegate from a not for profit organisation. She says ‘‘Having the chance to be a part of the Woman’s Leadership programme is a fantastic opportunity to make appositive change in your career. Attending a leadership course and having that vital support throughout was a turning point within my career. It helped me be me, work out my future career steps and ask for the development that was right for me.”

Lynn Walters, Co-founder and Director of Pure, comments: “The Women’s Leadership programme is a safe and welcoming environment where delegates can discuss issues, concerns and ideas whilst feeling supported in making that positive change within the workplace.”

The next programme takes place on 21st and 22nd January, and 18th and 19th March 2015, at Paddock House in Newmarket. This course has 2 part-funded places - the New Anglia LEP has funded a place for a female employee from an SME in Norfolk or Suffolk. The Blossom Charity has also  part funded a place for a woman from a charity or not-for-profit organisation.
