‘Employer of the Year’ sponsor, Pure, calls on local firms to enter prestigious award
Pure Resourcing Solutions (Pure) is very proud to once again be the sponsor of the Employer of the Year category at the coveted Cambridge Evening News Business Excellence Awards.
Won last year by Science Park firm, Cambridge Consultants, the award seeks to recognise an organisation that successfully inspires, motivates, develops and rewards it staff.
Taking place in the Great Hall at Kings College on March 20th, Lynn Walters, Director of Pure, is encouraging local employers to enter if they feel they are successfully engaging their staff and developing a positive workplace.
“To be hailed as a good employer within the high-profile Cambridge business community is hugely beneficial on so many levels,” explains Lynn. “For instance, winning the award for putting your employees first not only helps to attract more investment and customers, but you also increase your chances of attracting great staff. Cambridge Consultants is an excellent example: the firm used last year’s award to boost recruitment in a very competitive area, and it continues to evolve, expand and innovate. Everyone can benefit.”
As a judge on the panel for all of the awards categories including the Employer of the Year, Lynn bases her decisions on long-term experience. Not only does she ensure her own workforce at Pure is engaged through a range of initiatives, but she also heads up Best Employer, Eastern Region (BEER) initiative alongside eras ltd, a Suffolk-based provider of psychometric and talent solutions.
Aiming to promote the East of England’s best employers, BEER comprises of a biennial festival, culture and values survey, seminars, and subsequent awards.
The deadline for entries to the Business Awards is fast approaching at midday on January 31st - employers can find out more on the Cambridge Evening News website.
Pure would like to wish all entrants the very best of luck, and Lynn looks forward to seeing another year of first-class applications from a range of local organisations.
