Senior Buyer

Pure Resourcing Solutions are exclusively supporting a privately owned manufacturing company based in Basildon, seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Buyer to join the team.

The successful candidate will play a key role within the senior leadership team and work closely with the board to support strategic and operational decision making. 

This is a full time, permanent role which requires office working full time.  


Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the supply chain and procurement functions within the company.
• Mentoring a team of 2 buyers.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective sourcing and timely delivery of materials.
• Source materials and products from the Far East and other global suppliers.
• Negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
• Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and resolve supply chain issues.

Requirements:

• CIPS Qualified / studying.
• Proven experience as a Senior Buyer 
• Background in manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated experience in sourcing from the Far East.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
